The sport

What is chessboxing?

You play a round of chess, box a round, then go back to the board, and it repeats until someone wins by checkmate or knockout. It's a real sport with twenty years of history overseas, and it's the hardest hour you'll do. You don't need to box or play chess to start.

What we run

Fitness Sessions

Weekly sessions at Sydney Park. Boxing rounds and blitz chess, out in the open, for anyone. No experience needed in either.

Boxing pads and hand wraps on the grass beside a folding table with a chess set, Sydney Park brickworks chimneys behind.
Juniors

Smart and strong, in the one sport. A dedicated program for young athletes up to 17, coming soon.

Small boxing gloves hanging on a court fence beside a chess set and clock on a bench.
Team Bookings

Bring your team. Decision-making under real physical pressure, run as a private session for workplaces and groups.

A hall set up for a team session: chess boards and clocks along a trestle table with gloves stacked at the end.
Fight Nights

The competitive side of the sport. Ranked bouts fought under our own rulebook, won by checkmate or knockout.
